Please note: Under provisions of the Income Tax Act (Canada), Orienteering Canada cannot issue income tax receipts for donations that are expressly or impliedly conditional on the association of making a gift or donation to a specified person.

    This is a quick an easy way to donate. You'll receive an immediate tax receipt. Note that Canada Helps does take a small processing fee and credit card fee. You can choose to cover that transaction fees so that 100% of your donation goes to Orienteering Canada.

    You can fill in our donation form, email it to us and, etransfer or mail a cheque to us (details on the form). Donations that qualify for a tax receipt will receive it early in the new year.

  • Club and Provincial/Territorial Orienteering Association Project fundraising via Orienteering Canada

    Orienteering Canada (OC) is committed to supporting local orienteering projects through a donation process for Provincial/Territorial Orienteering Associations (PTOA) and Clubs. As a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association (RCAAA), OC can issue tax receipts for eligible donations for approved projects. Under CRA rules, donations made directly to OC can be directed to approved PTOA or Club projects.

  • Support our Team Canada fundraising events

    Orienteering Canada hosts several fundraising events each year to support our Team Canada program, including Control Bounty in the spring, a silent auction at the Canadian Orienteering Festival, a virtual auction each fall, and our annual Team Canada fundraiser held during the festival. Your support makes a difference—please consider pledging, donating items, bidding, participating in these events.

Have a specific goal in mind for your donation?

You can choose to support Orienteering Canada’s general fund, or direct your donation to a specific area of our work—it's totally up to you! Below are just a few examples of where your support could go, but there’s plenty of flexibility. Want to help grow our officials program? Support mapping or coaching development? Fund resources for beginners or help expand ski-orienteering? We’d love to hear what matters most to you. As long as it fits within our strategic plan and doesn’t directly benefit a specific individual (per CRA rules), we’re happy to work with you. Reach out anytime—we’re always up for a chat!

  • General Funds

    Donations to our General Fund will be used where most needed - as determined by our Strategic plan.

  • Orienteering Canada's Endowment Fund

    The goal of the Orienteering Canada Endowment Fund is to provide long term sustainable funding to the organization. Our current fund is almost at $250,000. Can you help us grow it?

  • High Performance Orienteering

    Donations to high performance orienteering helps us support our Team Canada Program. Money is used for organizing training camps, supporting athletes and team staff at international events, and providing access to coaching.

  • Junior Orienteering

    Your donation helps develop the next generation of orienteers. From national junior training camps to innovative youth focused programming, your support expands opportunities for young athletes and strengthens the community that guides and inspires them.

  • Local Projects

    Want your donation to support a specific local orienteering project? Through Orienteering Canada’s charitable status, donations to eligible club and provincial/territorial orienteering associations may qualify for a tax receipt. Learn more about how it works here.

  • Adrian Zissos Orienteering Development Grants

    The Adrian Zissos Sport Development Grants are available annually to projects that do at least one of the following:

    1. Develop orienteering in a new geographical area (mapping, officials/coach training of individuals in new area, starting a new club);
    2. start a new and distinctive program or expand an existing program in a distinctive way; or
    3. promote collaboration between orienteering clubs and associations with a new initiative.

    Initial funding for the awards was provided by the money that Adrian Zissos donated in his will. In order to sustain it for many years into the future, your financial support would be greatly appreciated. Learn more about the grant program here.
