Q&A
Q: If you had one tip for young/beginning orienteers what would it be?
A: CONSISTENTLY taking compass bearings. Personally, I think that taking a compass bearing consistently is a very overlooked part of orienteering because when athletes get into the racing mindset, it is common to not want to take that extra 5 to 10 seconds to make sure that you are heading where you want to go.
Q: What aspect of orienteering keep you interested and motivated to stay involved, train, and compete?
A: That there is always something new in every course that gives a great opportunity to learn something or have have a different experience than last time.
