Q&A

Q: What is one thing you really want to work on in 2025?
A: I really want to work on getting better at visualizing the control circle before I get there. I often will end up at the circle and pause for a minute because I'm not confident in where the flag will be, even if I've looked at the control description. Better visualization of the control circle will help me have better flow.
Q: What aspect of orienteering keep you interested and motivated to stay involved, train, and compete?
A: I love the problem-solving aspect of orienteering. Being presented with a challenging leg and then having to figure out what the best way to approach it is and then applying that and adapting along the way if things go wrong. That challenge always makes me excited to keep orienteering, especially in new terrain that presents new challenges.
