Q&A
Q: What is one thing you really want to work on in 2025?
A: My biggest weakness in orienteering at the moment is losing focus right at the beginning of races and making mistakes off the start as a result. So one of my training focuses leading into next summer is simulating the beginnings of races so I can train my brain to not mess up off the start.
Q: What aspect of orienteering keep you interested and motivated to stay involved, train, and compete?
A: The fact that the entire sport revolves around making decisions on the fly while running. While I find running a great way to clear my head, I often get distracted and even bored. That's one of the reasons why I love orienteering--it provides the perfect mental outlet while I do one of my favourite things: running.
