Q&A
Q: What would you say is the most overlooked element of orienteering training and why?
A: Map reading while running fast because most orienteers take their time going to controls, because they can't process it while going too fast.
Q: If you had one tip for young/beginning orienteers what would it be?
A: Do as much orienteering as you can and never stop believing you can do it.
Q: What is one thing you really want to work on in 2026?
A: The climbs, as most of the races, I sometimes walk up hills and I lose a lot of time.
Q: Describe your overall approach to training for orienteering?
A: I think that training for orienteering is very important to improve every aspect of your race and become faster and better to orient yourself.
Q: What aspect of orienteering keep you interested and motivated to stay involved, train, and compete?
A: I love to run, and the fact that you can find a way to make running even better, by having an objective, so to find controls, is so much fun. Also, you can involve every member of your family and make trips all around the world to compete and visit at the same time.
Q: Describe your ideal orienteering terrain?
A: My ideal orienteering terrain is a big forest, not too flat, but not too hilly as well, where you can go as fast as possible in an open forest. I love to have a few trails, to find my way even better and have more fun.
