Q&A
Q: How did you first get involved in orienteering?
A: My dad found a brochure about orienteering and decided to give it a try. It was a bit of a rocky start but we soon caught on and loved the sport!
Q: If you had one tip for young orienteers what would it be?
A: Participate in what you're enthusiastic about and ask lots of questions from those you admire.
Q: What would a typical week of training look like for you?
A: Building up into winter training, a week consists of one strength training, two higher speed sessions, one long session, two easier sessions running, orienteering or hopefully soon skiing and one rest day.
Q: How do you normally prepare for an important race?
A: I learn as much as I can about the race, I write a race plan and I work on any visualisations that I think are important for the day. The night before I write out a time schedule to follow.
Q: What is your big life orienteering goal?
A: Keep going as long as I'm loving training and the process of being an athlete.
