Hello orienteers!

ON-LINE NOVEMBER AUCTION
We are hosting a virtual auction on the 32auctions platform from November 20-30th. This auction is ideally suited to "virtual" items that can be easily emailed or mailed inexpensively to the winning bidders. Physical items are a-ok for this auction - but keep in mind that the donor will need to ship the item and the winning bidder will need to pay for any shipping costs.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS AND BIDS HELP TEAM CANADA
The money raised during this auction helps support the development of Team Canada's athletes. Your money helps to subsidize registration fees for athletes and to provide more coaching and support to athletes (including training camp opportunities) in Canada and while at international events: World Orienteering Championships, Junior World Orienteering Championships, World Cups and World University Orienteering Championships.

The success of these fundraisers is based on the willingness of the orienteering community to donate items and bid - so thank you! 

LOOKING FOR IDEAS OF SOMETHING TO DONATE?
Here are some ideas of possible donations:

1. Orienteering clubs: can you donate a season's pass, a program registration fee, or an event registration fee...?
2. Experienced orienteers: can you donate a virtual coaching session, a virtual post-race analysis session, course planning from afar...?
3. Creative orienteers: please consider donating a piece of art or a hand made item. We have some incredibly creative and talented orienteers in this country!

The fine print
A note that we reserve to ultimately decide which items to include in the auctions. A few times in the past, people have donated very used items of clothing and o-shoes, which are not well suited for a fundraising auction.
