Orienteering Canada Hall of Fame

Gabrielle has been a dedicated volunteer coach for Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club (FWOC) juniors for over 20 years, bringing enthusiasm and expertise to SOGO Adventure Running programs and its earlier junior programs. She has been instrumental in mentoring teenage athletes in SOGO Level 3, some of whom have gone on to coach or compete internationally, including at the Junior World Orienteering Championships. A former high level orienteer and member of Canada’s National Ski-O, Gabrielle has also coached at Sass Peepre camps and supported athletes at events like Sprint Camp in Vancouver. Her leadership extends to the FWOC Board and SOGO Committee, and she has contributed significantly to event safety planning, including creating FWOC’s safety plan templates. Gabrielle’s long-standing commitment has strengthened both coaching and event operations within the orienteering community.
