Dorothy has been a vital part of the Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club (EOOC), leading the club’s youth programs—Kids Run Wild and the Schools Program—for several years with exceptional dedication and skill. She designs maps, creates orienteering exercises, and coaches thousands of children each year, earning widespread praise from participants, parents, and teachers alike. Dorothy also mentors new coaches and co-leads the adult "Skills & Stamina for Orienteering" program. Her work has earned multiple awards, including national recognition from Outdoor Play Canada and international honors for Kids Run Wild. Her expertise is sought after by other jurisdictions, a testament to the impact of her leadership and passion for outdoor education.
