Orienteering Canada Hall of Fame

Clarence has volunteered as a coach for Foothills Wanderers Orienteering Club (FWOC) juniors for over 20 years, particularly with SOGO Adventure Running Level 3 teens. He has coached athletes who went on to represent Canada at the Junior World Orienteering Championships and has contributed to Sass Peepre camps, Sprint Camp, and adult training programs. Clarence also played a leadership role in community outreach through All Sports One Day and served on the FWOC Board for over a decade, including terms as Treasurer, VP, President, and Past President. He continues his leadership as a Board member of the Alberta Orienteering Association, including the role of President. In major events, Clarence has been the dependable Site Crew Chief, handling logistics, infrastructure, and setup for many major events including national and international events in Alberta and BC.
