Orienteering Canada Hall of Fame

Barb has been a long-standing leader on the Ontario Orienteering Association (OOA) Board, serving in key roles including President and Secretary. She played a vital role in preserving the sport’s history by reviewing decades of archival material and helping secure its place in the Archives of Ontario. More recently, she led the overhaul of OOA’s governance documents to meet new provincial nonprofit requirements, supporting the association’s goal of achieving official sport status. Barb’s most impactful legacy is her work bridging the Adventure Racing and Orienteering communities, encouraging meaningful crossover and growing both sports. Her leadership and vision have helped shape the future of orienteering in Ontario.
